how do you opera?

Building on a previous concept, “How do you Opera” was launched for Pensacola Opera’s 37th Season in Summer 2019. The season, running from August 2019 - April 2020 was filled with over thirty events ranging from free concerts at local breweries to classic red carpet performances. Moving towards making opera more accessible to all, “How do you Opera” introduced a single category system to give patrons a way to find what they find most interesting about the available season. By breaking down the season using fun, bright colors newcomers and seasoned opera-goers alike were able to find what events most interested them, leading to an increase of attendance to all events across the board

Advertisements in local publications and an early distribution of a press release led to increased activity early in the season. Over five local multi-page articles were written concerning the opera’s season, leading to a spike in social media awareness and web activity.
